MY MORNING SANCTUARY
“The alarm goes off at 4am every morning and the ritual of self-care begins. After some time of reading , prayer and reflection I arrive at Humble Haven at 6 AM greeted by beautiful smiles and the warmth of the heated studio.”
The soft glow of dawn casting elongated shadows through the studio windows has become a familiar and cherished prelude to my day. What began as a tentative step towards self-care has blossomed into a daily ritual that nourishes my body, mind, and spirit. Embracing the quietude of 6 AM, I've discovered a sanctuary within Humble Haven, a space where physical exertion intertwines seamlessly with inner peace.
Yoga, in its gentle yet potent form, has become my anchor. The practice has unveiled a strength I never knew I possessed, both physical and mental. The early morning hours offer a unique opportunity to connect with my body, listen to its needs, and respond with mindful movement. With each inhale and exhale, I find myself shedding layers of stress, cultivating focus and igniting a sense of calm that carries on through my day.
Beyond the personal benefits, the early morning yoga community has become a source of invaluable support and inspiration. Sharing this sacred space with like-minded individuals has fostered a sense of camaraderie that is truly special. We gather not just to practice yoga, but to collectively embark on a journey of self-discovery. The energy is contagious and the mutual encouragement propels us forward.
Humble Haven has cultivated an environment that is more than just a yoga studio. It is a haven where individuals come together to nurture their well-being. The studio's emphasis on holistic growth has created a space where I feel seen, heard and supported. It is within these walls that I have found a deeper connection to myself and to the world around me.
The decision to rise before the sun may have seemed daunting at first, but the rewards have far exceeded expectations. My morning yoga practice has become an indispensable part of my life, a source of strength, clarity and connection. I want to thanks Suzanne Burns and her amazing team she has brought together to serve the Richmond community. On behalf of Richmond I say thank you. “
